Day 36 – DeRidder, LA to Opelousas, LA – Elevation: +912 / -1,037 feet
Today was a 91 mile route but mostly flat. We passed crawfish farms and stopped for lunch in Mamou the Cajun Music Capital of the World and visited Fred’s Lounge.
As I mentioned before, cycling is a somewhat dangerous sport. However, we also had Chandler the bicycle mechanic taken to the hospital yesterday with a back injury after he rolled his truck. We are all hoping he is doing well.
