Day 39 – Camp Mary, LA to Franklinton, LA – 86.65 miles – Elevation: +2,844 / -2,818 feet
.We started our 86.6 mile route in the rain today. The rain developed into a thunderstorm. Although my goal is to ride the complete coast to coast route, I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish today’s routes because I really HATE riding when there is lightning flashing around me.
Although I did finish, I didn’t stop to take any pictures to share today. They had a jar of pickled pig lips at dinner today. Evidently Louisiana is one of the few places you can find pickled pig lips. Of course there was a dare to see if anyone would eat them. A few brave souls did but I didn’t. Would you eat them?
